EMPLOYMENT AND WORKFORCE MANAGEMENT

The members of Maddin Hauser's Employment and Workforce Management Practice Group address employment and workplace management issues from a business and economic perspective rather than taking a purely legal approach. Our goals are to help each employer identify and reduce risk, in both the decision making process and day-to-day operations. In the same vein, the firm helps individuals address concerns relating to past, present, or prospective employment.

In order to achieve this goal, the firm assists clients in making sound business decisions and judgments regarding the management of workforce-related assets and potential liabilities by providing the appropriate and essential tools required to enhance workplace performance and employer/employee relationships, while minimizing both real and perceived associated risks on each side of the employment relationship. This may, for example, involve developing and implementing clear and manageable employment policies, without excessive financial burden or disruption of business operations; preparing or reviewing employment related contracts, such as confidentiality/non-disclosure agreements for employees who have access to sensitive information and non-competition agreements for key employees; or, in many cases, just providing "sound advice."

In addition, the firm is able to aggressively defend and/or prosecute workplace disputes. The emphasis is in facilitating the growth, sophistication and manageability of the client's workforce and promoting harmonious and mutually beneficial employment relationships. The firm can be persuasive and tenacious advocates in the event of litigation.

Like all other practice groups within the firm, members of the Employment and Workforce Management Practice Group are accessible, responsive and sensitive to each client's particular needs.
