Maddin Hauser Welcomes Kaitlin A. Brown to the Firm


Maddin, Hauser, Roth & Heller, P.C., is pleased to announce the addition of associate attorney Kaitlin A. Brown.

The announcement was made by the firm’s President and CEO, Steven D. Sallen. “Katie’s expertise representing small and large employers in a broad range of industries will increase our growing firm’s ability to provide clients with result-focused, responsive solutions to their corporate and employment issues,” said Sallen.

Kaitlin Brown, an associate attorney in the firm’s Corporate and Employment practice group, specializes in employment law, representing employers by responding to various types of claims including wrongful termination, workplace discrimination, harassment, and wage and hour claims. She also advises her clients in regard to employment contracts, employee handbooks and severance agreements.

Brown’s experiences range from administrative proceedings to complex litigation. Previously serving at the Michigan Department of Civil Rights, she worked in the Reconsideration Unit, evaluating and recommending decisions on appeals of administrative decisions. Brown has also litigated complex insurance, contract and constitutional cases.

In 2005, Brown earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art magna cum laude from Washington and Lee University, Lexington in Lexington, Virginia, receiving her Juris Doctor from Washington and Lee University’s School of Law in 2011. Brown has been recognized by Michigan Super Lawyers® as a Rising Star from 2014 to 2016 and received a Pro Bono Accomplishment Award from The United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. Brown is admitted to practice law in the States of Michigan and Indiana, and in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
