08.13.24

Maddin Hauser is thrilled to announce the addition of four new attorneys, David B. Deutsch, Steven H. Malach, Michael Curhan, and Carly R. Kolo, as well as paralegals Debra L. Alster and Megan E. Fisher. As part of the firm’s growth strategy, this significant addition of seasoned and sophisticated professionals further positions Maddin Hauser as the mid-size, full-service business law firm of choice.

David and Steve join us as shareholders, bringing extensive experience and proven track records of success. They will be instrumental in enhancing the firm’s capabilities in estate planning, probate and trust administration, probate litigation, corporate, mergers and acquisitions, and tax. David specializes in business and tax law matters, including estate and business succession planning, mergers and acquisitions, and real estate transactions. Steve oversees the Center for Estate Planning and has a remarkable breadth of experience handling probate litigation, complex trusts, wills, and estate plans.

Michael joins the firm as Of Counsel. A veteran litigator, his vast experience comprises employment litigation, business divorce, and commercial litigation matters. His tremendous capabilities complement our desire to meet growing client litigation needs.

Carly, an associate, has already distinguished herself in estate planning, probate, and trust administration. Her dedication and fresh perspective are valuable assets for Maddin Hauser’s expanding estate planning team.

Paralegals Debra Alster and Megan Fisher support the expanding demands of our practice, bringing a wealth of experience in the litigation, probate, and corporate practice areas. They are firmly committed to client service, ensuring our team can continue providing efficient and thorough legal support.

“We are thrilled to welcome such a talented and experienced group of professionals to the firm,” said Maddin Hauser’s President and CEO, Steven D. Sallen. “2024 is a momentous year for us – we’ve just moved into beautiful new office space in One Towne Square, and we will celebrate our 100th anniversary next year. Preserving our distinctive work culture is paramount to our strategic growth and planning for the future. Steve, David, Carly, Michael, Debbie, and Megan share our vision. We look forward to their valuable contributions in their new roles.”

This expansion underscores Maddin Hauser’s dedication to thoughtful growth while remaining an independent regional and national firm. As the firm continues to grow, its staunch commitment to delivering outstanding results for its clients and maintaining its position as a trusted advisor will never change.
