Chambers USA Ranks Maddin Hauser in 2025 Guide 

Maddin Hauser is pleased to announce that Chambers USA has again recognized two of our practice groups and three attorneys in its 2025 guide. Named among the elite firms in Michigan, Maddin Hauser joins other top law firms ranked in these select practice areas.

Charles M. Lax continues to earn recognition for his expertise in Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation alongside the practice group in Band 3. Chuck is a shareholder and chairman of the firm’s Tax practice group. This distinction highlights Chuck’s significant contributions in this area of law and the high regard in which his peers hold him. 

Harvey R. Heller and Julie C. Mayer have maintained their Band 1 status, while our Professional Liability Defense and Insurance Coverage group earned Band 2 status. Ranked for their expertise in handling complex defense and insurance coverage litigation, this is the second consecutive year Harvey and Julie have been ranked in the highest band possible. Harvey serves as chairman of that practice group, is a managing director of the firm, sits on its Executive Committee, and is the creator of our Result Focused Case Management System^®. Julie, a shareholder, concentrates her practice on insurance coverage and professional liability defense.
