NOLAN DE JONG, a former collegiate and professional hockey player, intuitively understands that success is a product of hard work, collaboration, preparation, agility, strategy, and relentlessly pursuing excellence. Nolan brings those same critical qualities to the practice of law, while clients reap the benefits of his personal commitment and competitive spirit.
A former Maddin Hauser summer associate and a member of the firm’s Corporate and Real Estate practice groups, Nolan has collaborated with attorneys throughout the firm to develop and expand his experience and skill sets, with a focus on business and real estate transactions. In his corporate practice, Nolan has been involved in a range of ownership, stock, financing, and related transactions. His real estate work has included drafting, reviewing, and negotiating lease and purchase agreements, as well as addressing zoning and land use matters.
Nolan has earned an impressive reputation for his meticulous attention to detail and demonstrable drive to constantly learn and grow as a lawyer, always seeking new challenges and opportunities. The firm’s corresponding prioritization of providing associates with hands-on experience and responsibility while also encouraging work-life balance are two primary reasons that Nolan chose Maddin Hauser as his professional home.
A frequent writer on current legal issues, Nolan is an active member of the Oakland County Bar Association, where he serves on the Real Estate Committee and acts as its liaison to the Professional Development Committee.
