2! (A Seussian Verse!)
Two is what we got
Two grandkids for over a week
What fun it is to reminisce!
Just deciding of what to speak?
The County Fair
enjoying rides and games?
Or Legoland and Rainforest Cafe
with all those robotic animals that were really tame?
Adventure Park in the trees?
3rd time, I’m nervous as a pup
Not our Vivi, no siree
As she kept asking to go higher than just 15 feet up!
And Zeke, what to say
about our first year with him along?
These 2 were inseparable the entire time
Even singing the same songs!
Going to the film “Captain Underpants”
And laughing aloud with them?
Especially the part with Whoopie Cushions
As silly as that might have been!
Who cares how childish?
We were in the “zone”
Relishing our vacation
With 2 cute guests in our home!
And then they left
and I came back
To my day job that I enjoy
and, (following a couple of days)
I got back on track!
But the lessons one learns
With 2 innocents abound
So clear eyed, so refreshing
A joy just having them around!
So wherever you vacation
And whatever you do
Find a way back to childhood
And let it invigorate you!
