RICHARD (RICK) M. MITCHELL, shareholder, focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation such as professional liability defense, and employment matters including actions with administrative agencies, product liability, contract disputes, and catastrophic claims. He has had articles published and spoken to industry professional groups.

Rick earned his Juris Doctor from Indiana University Law School in 1991. There he served on the Indiana University Law Review. He also studied law at the University of London. Rick earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan in 1988.

He is a member and past president of the Greater Detroit Chapter of the Society of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (CPCU). The CPCU designation is granted by the American Institute for CPCU upon successfully completing 10 exams relating to insurance and business topics. Rick also serves as a case evaluator in matters pending before the Oakland County Circuit Court.
